Will my tables come through as real spreadsheet cells?
The converter detects tables and maps them into Excel rows and columns so you can sort and calculate. Irregular layouts may need minor cleanup.
Why does it say no tables were detected?
Detection works from the text and the ruling lines the PDF actually contains. A scanned page is only a picture, so nothing is found; the same happens when figures are lined up with spaces and tabs instead of a real table.
How are the tables laid out in the workbook?
Each detected table becomes its own worksheet, named for where it came from — p2-t1 is the first table on page 2. Nothing is stacked together, so a long report arrives as a set of sheets you can rearrange yourself.
